This is the tubing version of the highly successful and effective Scimitar casing scraper. Also called the Scimitar as it possesses the same general design configuration and operational properties. The tool is a self-cleaning down hole scraper which scrapes the internal tubing wall thereby dislodging and removing scale, oxidised particles and general debris. The scraper pad profile is angled for a self-cleaning action thereby maximising debris removal efficiency. The Scimitar has been designed specifically to handle high rotational speeds and extended periods of scraping-while drilling.
